A walking guide with a recognised qualification (ASP - accompagnateur de sorties pédestres), Lucie has over 20 years of long-distance trails and hikes under her belt. She now shares her knowledge of the New Caledonian landscape, flora and fauna with walkers every weekend, grouped by ability. For beginners and medium-level walkers, hikes are shorter (4-5 hours), less technical and have less elevation. “We don't walk continuously for 5 hours,” Lucie explains. “We take breaks and stop for lunch—everybody brings their own picnic.” Experienced walkers can get straight into a 6-7-hour walk or even walk for several days, staying overnight in cabins. The walks are mainly in the Great South (Blue River Park, Netcha, Plaine des Lacs, Mont-Dore), in Païta and Dumbéa. They allow you to access less frequently visited sites like Mont Dzumac, where a guide is recommended.

You will find Lucie’s programme on her Facebook page, or she can email it to you on request.
